Are you trusting God?

It is hard to trust God during tragic times, if you see Him as the enemy or the culprit. El Shaddai is often blamed because individuals see Him as the One who could have prevented the tragedy if He wanted. God is also viewed by some as the Lawgiver or Judge (James 4:12) coming to sentence us for past sins: Micah 7: 18,19. Then there are other times we simply just don't have enough faith in His delivering power. There is hymnal written by Edgar P Stites called "Trusting God" The first verse reads Simply trusting every day, Trusting thro a stormy way; Even when my faith is small Trusting Jesus that is all. The chorus reads; Trusting as the moments fly, Trusting as the days go by; trusting Him whate'er befall, Trusting Jesus that is all.
We can trust God. Psalm 40: 4,5 Allow Him to be your refuge during this time. Psalm 62: 6-8 Yahweh aka Elohim delivers us from our afflictions. Psalm 34: 4,6, 18, and 19 Accept His peace. John 14:26 & 27 Almighty God is not the enemy of our soul. Act 13: 9, 10 God is compassionate and wants to comfort us during the hard times. 2 Corinthians 1:2,3 God is merciful and will not abandon His children. Deuteronomy 4:31.
My prayer is Numbers 6: 24: 26, Psalm 36:6-8 and Psalm 91
May the Lord God Almighty bless you and all you hold dear to your heart, and keep you all under the shadow of His Almighty wing. May He make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto you. May He lift up His countenance upon You and those you love and give you and your household peace. In Jesus Name AMEN
A booklet I enjoyed reading "Trusting God in Hard Time" Lessons from the Life of Elijah written by Bill Crowder published in 2009 by Discovery House of Our Daily Bible Ministries of Grand Rapids, MI.
"Hope in the Dark" Believing God is Good When Life is Not was written by Craig Groeschel and published in 2018 by Zondervan Grand Rapids, MI. It is a book I found helpful during a hard time.
